Terms of Service

What This Is

Hosted Claws provides managed hosting for OpenClaw, an open-source AI assistant framework. We run your own instance on our infrastructure so you don't have to.

We don't own OpenClaw. We don't make OpenClaw. We host it for you as a convenience.

The Service

We give you a dedicated OpenClaw container with access to AI models, persistent storage, and messaging integrations. We do our best to keep it running, but we can't guarantee uptime, performance, or availability.

This service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.

AI Models and Limits

The AI models we provide are hosted by third-party providers (currently DigitalOcean). We don't control their infrastructure, rate limits, or availability.

  • Model providers set token limits that they don't share with us. We can't tell you exactly how many tokens you get.
  • If you hit rate limits frequently, email us and we'll do our best to sort it out for you.
  • Models may be added, removed, or changed as providers update their offerings. We'll try to give you notice, but can't always guarantee it.

AI Makes Mistakes

AI models — especially open-source ones — hallucinate. They make things up. They get things wrong. They can be confidently incorrect.

By using this service, you understand and accept that:

  • AI outputs are not reliable and must be checked by you
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying anything your assistant produces
  • We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI-generated content

Security and Your Data

Your OpenClaw instance runs in its own container. We don't share data between customers and we don't train on your data.

That said:

  • We are not responsible for data you store in your workspace. If you put sensitive, confidential, or personal information into your assistant and it leaks — through a bug in OpenClaw, a failure in our platform, or an issue with our providers — that's a risk you accepted by storing it there.
  • Prompt injection is a known risk with AI systems. You are responsible for understanding common generative AI security practices and taking appropriate care with what you share with your assistant.
  • We don't encrypt workspace contents at rest. Your data is stored on DigitalOcean infrastructure under their security practices.

Don't store passwords, financial credentials, medical records, or anything you can't afford to lose.

Your Responsibilities

  • Check AI outputs before acting on them
  • Don't use the service for anything illegal
  • Don't attempt to access other customers' instances or data
  • Don't use your instance to spam, harass, or cause harm
  • Understand the limitations of AI before relying on it

Payments and Cancellation

  • All prices are in USD
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
  • You can cancel anytime by emailing us
  • We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first purchase
  • After cancellation, your workspace data is kept for 30 days, then permanently deleted

Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We accept no liability for losses arising from use of this service
  • We accept no liability for upstream failures by our providers (DigitalOcean, AI model providers, Stripe)
  • We accept no liability for errors, omissions, or hallucinations in AI-generated content
  • We accept no liability for data loss, data leaks, or security incidents
  • Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 3 months

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new terms.
